The front of our house looks like a war zone. They are replacing the water pipes because of the District's problem with lead pipes that results in lead in the water. (Here is information from the EPA about DC's leaded water.) We even get Brita filters delivered to the house occationally. With any luck, the mess will clean up the mess.
